"Tell me about school"
shocked that I get a turn to speak I do so rapidly
almost incoherent with words that have been trapped.
About non-important madders.
This is the day I was waiting for someone will listen to whatever comes to my mind
my words pull at his hand like I use to when that was okay
my thoughts really don't mean much to any one else
but he calls me smart when I tell him about my favorite class
he promises me a beautiful future I know will never reach a small child in Minnesota,
but it's so nice to hear.
Even if I've convinced myself it won't happen.

hey it's father's day and this is what I used to do on our visits. Everyone used to tell me I was so bright and I would do something amazing with my future and even as a kid I never believed them until I did do something for myself.
