"Sickness"

There was nowhere left
to hide from it.
It was consuming him,
killing him.
The man that never wanted help, but
had to ask for some to stay alive.
He was not the same.
He never could've been.
It doesn't matter,
Because I'll never see him again.
The sickness took him.
It took him from me.
I will always treasure him, and
I will never forget him.
