The reason Why…
My heart is like a board game
Missing pieces everywhere you look
You ran away
Never even saying goodbye to me
My smiles faded to tears
my fears pounded my brain with pain
the agonizing memories of what used to be
What i guess was never meant to outlast the
fury of man breaking us to pieces
the puzzle of my heart
never quite fitting back together
that day when you were
Mine was the last day
Ive made up my mind
it would be a mistake to take that all back
in my heart i know just because the grass
Is never greener on the other side
doesn't mean the sun isn't shining
So i turn back to saying
Good bye
Better things lay ahead for me
without you I have him
with him there's passion in the lives we live
the train doesnt stop running
theres always something new
I am taking a stance
a chance to believe in something better
someone greater
I can put the brakes on
to find what is right for me
where the pieces fall into place
My heart is whole again
