Basking in the sun sounds great
But not to me
Day after day I lie here
I long to be free
To roam for the rest of my days
Instead,
People walk by the wall of glass
To do what?
Admire my beauty?
No, I have none
To hear me roar?
They stand there smiling
Taking pictures of their kids
But it only lasts a moment
Then its on to the next thing,
Caged in
