I listen to Nature Being
I listen to Nature Being, its motions resonating through the earth,
Those of ants, marching together in unison toward a leaf,
The cricket thumping as he sings amongst the grass blades,
The lion crouching in the savanna as he prepares to prove himself to b king
The young pup taking his first step, his mother
pacing nervously as she watches ,
The butterfly landing as she finds her flower, the old bee taking off from his hive,
The humming bird’s wings fluttering, mosquitos buzzing from dawn till dusk,
The powerful stride of the elephant, or of the rhinoceros in his field, or of the hippopotamus entering his watering hole,
Each moving individually and uniquely in his or her terrain,
Some during the day in the pounding sun -- others at night as the moon radiates upon the surface of the pond,
Always active, their motions so distinct.
