Seize the day. No procrastination. No backward looks. You can't put God's kingdom off until tomorrow. Luke 9:62

Quiet were the conversations then
Ensuing once or twice through time
The air would tense and the words again
Would roughly chip across my mind
I’d often talk of meaningless things
To make the tense air cower
And try to think of flying with wings
As I sat, far away from laughter
Both times, three times I tried to say
What was crawling on top of my thoughts
But he’d walk in and walk away
And I’d be left like a spinning top
Wondering when the day would end
And when my confused heart
would be on the mend.

I've been in a relationship like this before - I really could relate to this. Really beautiful poem :)

Arise and be all that you dream - Flyleaf

The smooth rhyming and natural flowiness of your poem makes it a pleasure to read. Looking forward to reading more of your work!
