Daddy
You,
Lost yourself in dreams, you
Kept them all inside, you
Radiated once.
Black shadows, they
Followed you down the street, they
Howled n your ears and stole the light in your eyes, they
Swallowed you whole.
Watching you talk, I
Saw tears that would never come, I
Listened while I slept,
Only then could I know they exist.
You,
Broke everything you touched, you
Showed no remorse, you
Managed it on your own.
Holes, they
Seem to intrigue, they
Deceive those who test their depth, they
Always knew where were.
I watched your heart shatter,
Like the glass against the wall, I
Went blind for so long, I
Swore you'd disappear forever.
You,
Never could disappoint me, you
Never could fade away, you
Tried to leave earth,
Don't you know you need wings to fly?
Words, they
Have a way of filling the air yet they,
Are a translucent entity, they
Somehow saved you.
Looking behind, I
See my hero, his tainted mind, I
Find myself running from shadows, I
Fall in holes all the time, I
Learned from you.
