--The Spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; But a broken spirit who can bear?
He is dying of a broken heart.
The day I met him
he was already incredibly weak
but he disguised the murmur so well
that when everything took a turn
for the worse
I could hardly tell
that his body was hurting
so badly.
I know that things are hard
and that when someone
is missing the warmth
of another person next to them
the world seems to become
a little more lonely each day,
but he must fix his heart
for all our sakes
so our hearts don’t break too.
