You’re walking past me
Holding his hand
And
My hearts pounding
So hard it falls out and lands into my palms
And as you take a quick glance
I catch your eye…
I extend my arms to give you my heart
Understand that you have had it ALL this time
Technically it belonged to you;
I’m just giving it back because it looks like,
Well
You found someone new
And when you steal his heart too
I kind of…want mine back
Just so I’m sure we are really through.

Love is borrowed not stolen. Tend not to hold onto the rose because it has a chance of blooming again.
