When the door is shut and the curtains are closed

My mind is open and all is dark

I think of what you're doing to me

Tearing me down

Taking away my hope and dreams

I often wonder what will come of my thoughts

Writing them down and remembering

They seem to rush back and overwhelm me

I fear what they will share

What they will show
You leave me to die

Alone and lost in my own mind

Left in a dark abyss of depression

Hoping that the light of hope will rise

That it will save me from this place

From my past

My present

And my future

Feeling scared and confused

With nothing more on my mind
