A sound, picture, smell or touch
A memory associated with each
Some good and some bad
Some which are prominent while others remain hidden in our subconscious
Something that is asleep until that one thing
That one certain thing… you know what it is
You are here but you are not awake
You have been fighting it
Open your arms and let the memory in
Watch as it fills your soul
Jump in and experience it but don’t let it break you
A memory is just a moving picture stuck in time
Which we can choose whether or not to keep alive
