Dear poet, what’s your claim to fame?
Is there a meaning or was it just a game
Did you annex from others & then put it under your name?
Or was it a muse
Were you dazed & confus’d
Wandering the wilderness too?
Are you depressed, is your mind decaying
Like the morals of society
Is addiction your fiend?
A reaper stalking you at night
Leaving your forlorn at sunrise
Was it words that rhyme, just to save time
Or is there a deeper meaning (between the lines)?
Poet your mind amazes me
Very poetic but then melancholy
Grasping for remnants of a dream
Looking to the sky for inspiration
Go on poet; let the ink spill from your pen
Watch as you save me again and again.
