My Words Fall on Deaf Ears

Do you hear what I’m saying?
Can you comprehend what I saying?
Why when I talk do you not respond?
Why when I cry do you not come?
I understand we may be apart
But why have we fallen far away.
I know that we each have our problems
But I was there for you.
I look into your eyes
And ask you to focus real hard
But yet you still ignore
The words that flow from my mouth
Can’t you hear me crying for you?
Can’t you hear my screams?
Do you hear what I am saying?
Or are my words falling on deaf ears.
