I walk through moonlight
shoes smacking damp pavement
dancing through pools of gold as streetlights burn
I wear the persona of another
a mask of a much more pleasing hue
eyes shining with vivacity through night cooled rain
in this moment I am invincible
the heavens blaze for me
their calligraphy curling across the sky
time stands still for me
the turning of worlds halting at my touch
I’m indomitable
as I walk through moonlight
