I dreamed the sky was falling
I dreamed it dripped away
I dreamed that melting morning
Just quietly slipped away

I dreamed the clouds were purple
And streaming glitter rain
I dreamed the moon was scarlet
And singing of her pain

I dreamed the sky was falling
I dreamed it slipped away
I dreamed that falling stardust
Disguised the ending day

I dreamed the stars were screaming
I dreamed the sun was glad
And there wasn’t any good there
But there wasn’t any bad

The author's comments:
This was written after my Grandfather's death, when I was having increasingly odd and disturbing dreams involving the world ending - obvious symmetry between that and my emotions of the time.
