Sand and Dust MAG
How long can it last,
 this hazy, auspicious moment?
 Yes, this lazy, little moment
 that glows with the softness
of sunlight passing through colored glass
or sea water on a clear day.
   I bottle moments like these,
these innocuous, innocent snatches of time,
when I stop to let my heart swell,
 while all else carries on
 past the fleeting evening
and into the eternal, star-brushed night.
These bottles and jars sit on my shelves,
 rusting over with amber nostalgia,
  eventually falling to nothing but
  sand and dust.
