So here we are
on this cool Wednesday evening.
Finding new scars
and realizing how deceiving you are.
So here we are
your guilty pleas
after you lied to my face.
Please, proceed.
Go on,
on with your rambles blanketed with lies.
I’m not up for the chase anymore.
So here we are
on this cool Wednesday evening.
Splitting apart.
It’s like ping pong.
Words cutting our souls,
back and forth.
We cannot even remember the start.
And this is where we are.
Going our separate ways,
on this cool Wednesday evening.

The author's comments:
One day I decided I wanted to write a poem. It had been a Wednesday and I guess I wanted to include that day into the poem. And I did.

"one day i decided to write a poem"

And it was absolutely amazing. Most people write for a long time to do what I assume you did on a whim. congratulations.  (:

This is nice, I love the imagery, and the way you repeated the line 'so here we are on this cool wednesday evening'. It just brought context to the poem.
