Favorite Quote:
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication

Sitting in a puddle of regret,
Whistles blowing, shrill and loud.
Sound of dripping water,
Voices of ridicule saunter
But I stand proud.

‘Let them scream,
Let them dream’
I say
‘Let them tell me to fail
But then their dreams will come to no avail.’

When the days finally pass,
It’ll be me who will surpass
Since I know I am flawed-
I’ve learned that from what I saw.
A girl rising to her feet,
Unwilling to face defeat
From others who conveyed her fall.

I am wretched.
I am small and weak.
I am brave.
I’m smart and neat.
I’m horrible and I’m beautiful
Because I’m unique and me.

Orignially, this poem was supposed to be a homework assignment. It is homework assignment, but by writing this poem, I've realized what it means to be proud. I've realized what it means to be an unique human being and I hope that this poem will help others understand themselves like it helped me understand myself.
