Everything seemed to be falling apart
Their lives don’t seem to add up
They were drifting away and didn’t even realize it
She told herself she would be strong
He told himself he would always be there
But neither of them could see this coming
He loved her endlessly and she loved him
But he couldn’t just sit and watch as she slowly left
Her body was beginning to get cold
Her lips had not a drop of color left
And her hair
Her beautiful hair that he would stay up nights playing with
Was gone
He knew it was wrong to want to leave
But what else was he suppose to do
He knew if stayed it would just hurt him more in the long run
But if he didn’t stay it would hurt her even more
She gave him a kiss and told him to leave
She knew it wouldn’t be long until she was gone
After he left
She laid on the couch closed her eyes
And slowly her body lost meaning to life
