True Meaning?
Beauty.
Love.
Perfection.
What do they really mean?
Young girls trying so hard
to be...
Perfect,
Loved,
Beautiful.
Not one of them comprehending
that beauty is within,
Love will be pending,
and perfection is your own.
Do they mean that your skin tone shows your story?
Does it mean that your weight tells your problems?
Does any of it give the right for others to judge you?
No.
What even is perfection?
Is there such thing?
If you are yourself, to me, you are perfect.
Being yourself is beauty.
Meanness is just a mask
and the world it’s masquerade.
Some refuse to take it off
hiding behind the only thing that makes them feel powerful.
Media, celebrities, fairy-tales
all trying to tell those girls what they’re suppose to
be like,
look like,
act like.
and most time…
its not themselves
Just know that to be perfect,
be yourself
To be loved,
be kind and open to all things and thoughts
and to be beautiful,
be happy.
Eventually, you will shine
as bright as the sun
and when you rise
bring confidence with you
Because you ARE loved.
You ARE beautiful.
You ARE perfect.
Don’t let others tell you otherwise.
Just be YOU.

I was inspired because of how much judgement I witness at school. Everyone trying to tell girls how they are suppose to be or live.
