While I early skipped in the warm desert,
When the sun has not fully removed the dark night
From the huge sky- at a time when
Very hyper tots take up their toys;
I saw the greenest cactus the crisp desert could give,
A new-born t-shaped cactus; the only one that stood
Its fuzzy self on the Sahara sand: straight it emerged
As the Statue of Liberty does.
And, while I danced around its open arms,
I believed cactus bought in Lowe’s it was superior of;
Yet the moment, O Billy! Your cactus reached me,
My ears became sensitive:
A high pitched song, it sang
Tunes of giggles, and games, and silliness
With no end.
