when i was little, someone came up to me
they told me that the sky was purple
and said that the grass was blue
that the trees were orange
the sun was brand new
that the way we see
is not with our eyes
they whispered
of fairies and
of dragons
and worlds
without
skies.
but the funny thing was, on that very day
i began to believe in an impossible land
where bugs were three feet tall
and people were grains of sand
its funny what we believe
when we are so young,
so naive, as if
there are no
such thing
as lies.
what
we
believe

is what determines truth.

truth for one is a lie to another

and the lies are actually truth.

the way adults see it is different from a young child

but perhaps truth is not a science or a discovery
but merely

imagination.
