In the circus of my family, we are the pack of lions
We are raised to fight, be strong and tackle any predator that comes our way
We protect our pack with our life

In the circus of my family, its a ride or die love
If you ride with our family, you die for our family
No one understands, but I’ll do anything for this family

In the circus of my family, if you do anything to hurt one
I’ll be sure to come find you and you’ll be the hurt one
Because in this family, family comes first

Family is always first, we share the same blood
Whether we’re arguing, having disagreements
We fight the same flood

Any obstacle that comes my way, we all fight it
For those obstacles are shared, no one goes through hardship alone
Alone? that word is never used in the circus of MY family

No one will be left alone, not in my family
We all have a strong bond, we fight till the end
And even in the end, I’ll take my own life for them

Because in this circus of my family, we are the pack of lions
Not just any ordinary pack, we love with our whole heart
No one is left alone, put away, or apart

And even if one is gone
They will always be remembered
For this family will never be separated, despite any tragedy

Forever they are in my heart
And that’s where they’ll stay
Whether its going home, staying here, or even going away.

What inspired me to write this poem was after my grandma passed away. It was a really hard time in my life and especially my family as well. But in the end it just made us stronger, and my family really came together.
