Do you remember who you used to be?
I do.
Life is full of leaving hollow shells in the past,
but your past never understands the reason.
You try to explain to him why you can’t come back,
so you just tell him you can’t fight the seasons.
But sometimes, he turns those hollow shells
back in to live ammunition
as he threatens to shoot you,
unless you take shots with no bullets.
But you don’t want to get caught back in the past,
So he takes the trigger, and
He pulls it.
