A touch, a violation, a scream, unsafe, even though it is over.
Never the same, cannot be undone.
No hope.

Suddenly, a light, a ray of Sonshine,
new consciousness springs up from the once barren ground.
Old wounds are healed, the scars forgotten.
This new life bringing a joy that was once lost.

No more cowering, no more fear,
no more violation, no more misused power.
Replace them with true love, purity, Sonshine and happiness.

This poem is inspired by the desire of wanting all forms of sexual abuse to end.
