We Used To Be
It’s 4 in the morning
i should be sleeping
but instead I’m writing this.
I’m thinking about you
and what you’re thinking about
what you look like fast asleep,
do you think of me?
do you think about what happened?
Because I do.
do your memories come in dreams?
dreams because you’re happy about it?
nightmares seem more fitting for this.
I mean, don’t you think?
seeing as how during daylight it is
a nightmare, i mean
thats what this is, yes?
or is it just a game?
A game for you?
there don’t seem to be any rules
there aren’t any ways to get out of jail
the funny thing is, in this game only one player can end up in jail
but when not in jail, that player is on pause
NOT OUT
so how can you finish the game?
see now you’re stuck
until that player gets out of jail
and with all that time, guilt will eat you up.
then who’s living the nightmare?
so, where’s my get out of jail free card?
