Sometimes your hopes rise like a rocket
out of this world.
To the Moon!
Only to fall
like a shooting star.
As others make their wish,
Your dreams fade away
into the night sky.

Sometimes we take a moment and reevaluate where we are and where we had hoped to be. And realizing we failed, we feel disappointment. We see others taking their turn on the path we took. Will they succeed where we failed? All I know is that I'm crashing down to the ground.
