Every ounce of anticipation
leaks out of my berry-red body
as the violent tremors
continue to shake my core.
So I run.
And I don't look back
at the catastrophic scene
that has left Act One
a disaster.
Mind racing
heart pounding
foot stomping agony
that has me stumbling.

Into Act Two.
