Staying Strong

I’m withering away
Struggling to get through each day
Like a pebble on the shore
About to be swallowed by the hungry water
Can’t grip on to the sand any more
It’s not that I haven’t tried
I’ve been holding on so tight for so long of this rough ride
My mind is telling me I can’t go on – all this is so wrong
But my heart is signaling me to stay strong
So with no energy left in me at all
I’ll still manage to break down this wall.
