11:44 P.M. (DM)
I was so close I could taste it,
I mean we were so close I could taste her.
In one dark, finite room our bodies intertwined
Like galaxies, our tongues orbiting
Like planets around a sun.
Through her hands, a scientist could explain gravity
Through her eyes,A blind man could see the milky way
Through her mouth, I could taste the stars
Her sweat came straight from the sea her dark hair
Was born from the very earth.
Her heartbeat could cause earthquakes
How reliably it pounded and her nails
How they shone, could slice through diamonds
And her legs could crush through mountains I swear
She was the incarnation of this bright blue planet
And the deep dark space that surrounds. I swear
She was infinite, and through her, I swear
Anything could be forever.
