He eats away your soul.
He changes what you know.
He plants the seed
To destroy your truth.

He breaks your heart.
He kills your mind.
He twists your life
To end your success.

He is pain.
He us fear.
He is jealousy.
He is guilt.

He plots your demise.
He creates your lies.
He reaches deep and
Rips his claws
Through your tender flesh.

And he leaves scars
That no man can see.
He leaves burns
Invisible to the eye.

This person
This fear, pain
Jealousy and guilt.
He ruins your happiness.
He ruins your joy
Your pleasure and hope.

He is relentless.
He watches you fade.
And then he leaves you.
A broken, beaten toy.

And no one knows.
No one sees.
But it shines in your eyes.
As bright as the sun.

And when he leaves
You wait for relief
That never comes.
You wait for your savior
Who will never arrive.

And when he leaves,
He leaves a shell.
The shell of an innocent child.
Grown up too fast.
And no one knows.
