A small flash of black,
the furball comes running.
A small purple tongue
always curving out.
Now skidding to a halt
and searching for his bottle,
crying in hunger.
Ears dancing lightly
at the first milky sweet scent.
Waiting for me to climb the fence,
nuzzling my legs.
