If you think you can do it, anything is possible

A woman emerges out of the dark woods
Sprinting through the night
Like a phantom
And abruptly halts at the edge of a cliff

As a beam of moonlight hits her
She suddenly shines like a majestic angel alight
Casting no shadow
As she stares straight across the vast ocean,
Her expression emotionless

She stands there silently, so enticing
Letting her soft golden hair
Flow with the slight breeze
As it glimmers under the eerie glow
Of the moonlight

Her heart-shaped face
A bright star shining blazingly
Against the inky sky

Her luminous eyes
The sun and the moon emit
An array of abstract colors

For she was beyond beauty
God gave her
One cannot destroy

She was a magnet
A social butterfly
One whom everybody looked toward and adored

One false misstep
She can allure anyone
As fast as a cheetah
Into her eternal, winding trap
She cared for nothing and
Feared no one

Suddenly a blinding white flash
Lit the surroundings;
For a mere second
A smile slowly formed on her face
And then
With a gust of wind
She dissolved leaving a lifeless angel
In the place she stood seconds ago
As a shrill, mirthless laughter
Echoed into the distance

Her presence
Will haunt Manderley forever
