"life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. it's about learning to dance in the rain"

Touch me with a feeble hand.
Speak to me with a cautious tongue.
Look at me with a pair of open eyes.
Treat me like a little girl's porcelain doll.
Hold me like a new mother's child
and worry about me like a dog to its bone.
Support me like legs to a
table, chair, a human.
Though set me free like a bird from a cage.
Let me soar the winds,
the rains,and find out
for myself
where life possibly begins
without you.

The author's comments:
While writing this poem I was thinking of the "perfect" way I want to be treated. I was thinking of relationships between living and/or non-living objects that involve the most support and care. I was inspired by these ideas, but also wanting to be set free at the same time.
