My Beautiful Silence

My heart snapped
The tears fell out of my eyes
Dripped down my cheeks and landed where no one would ever find them
Every word I ever wanted to say about him was said
I hated him and I loved him
All at the same time I wanted to scream in his face
But then I wanted to kiss him in the pouring rain
He broke me
Made my life a place where I was lost and alone
I refused to show anyone
Even when it meant that I would suffer alone
Because this was my mess
This was my beautiful silence.
