geometry

I sit in math drowning in the monotone voice of my teacher
looking up only when the giggles rise up behind me
geometry is the place of beautiful art and sleepy eyes
of yawning children
and frustrated teachers
no madder how much he yells
he can't pull me out of my glazed over sleep
it's funny that in school in this class I would do anything to drift off slowly into the dark
I can find anywhere to sit
on a salty beach
on soft spring soil
on the cold winter snow
instead I sit in a hard plastic desk
listening to the constant drone of the click behind me
buzzing buzzing
in my brain
I hate them sometimes...

I wrote this in geometry of course but to be honest I have a pretty cool teacher. <3
