Favorite Quote:
"...I wrote because that was who I was at the core, and if I was too damaged to walk around the block, I was lucky all the same. Once I got to my desk, once I started writing, I still believed anything was possible.”
-Alice Hoffman

Blue
(transparent but there)
Eyes
(that only I can see)
Water
(that does not reflect you)
Sky
(that cannot limit you)
Blue everywhere.
You’re everywhere.
I try to ignore you but I can’t.
You haunt me.
I try to escape you and I fail.
I sleep and accidentally dream of you.
My waking hours are not enough time for you to steal from me.
I cannot rid myself of your influence.
I’m a ghost, a mere shadow of my former self.
Brought on by the ghost of you.
I can’t remember who I was before you.
I look to the past and can only drown in blues.
I lie awake on my bed and remember.
I remember everything.
The kisses, the fights, the good, the bad.
Everything.
Me, furious at you.
Me, in love with you.
And all of it blue.
Everything blue.
My whole world blue.
You haunt me.
Sapphire ghost.
