The Rain starts slow,
then picks up fast,
pounding the porous ground,
stripping its beauty

The Thunder is low at first, throaty,
then with growing proximity,
shattering, ripping the white in two

The waves, kicking the shore it once
kissed,
pounding, and clawing life into its
tumultuous depth,

Hating is better
than loving with all your heart
unrequited.
