Wishes of the Season
Wishes marvel in the summer,
On a sunny, hot day
But they burn just as well
So tuck those wishes away
A wish had come during autumn…
Whoosh! Red; cinnamon; auburn; they go as they please
A rush of fall leaves that bled away their beauty,
As they died upon the breeze
Crimson blood drained from them, turning them brown
As the float away with ease
Gather quickly out from the darkness,
All the wishes you know,
And throw them hard at the sun,
Before they melt, like the snow
Now healing, warming, and tending for all
Spring had come at last,
With one wish left, starting the cycle again
Bring it forward as in ages past
