Winter
The snow covers the bare branches and dead leaves,
giving the earth time to dissolve and dispel unnecessary parts of itself.
A comforting blanket that is there to heal.
The dead of winter, the darkest nights, the chilling silence
all has purpose, all has beauty.
Savor that silence, that darkness,
through that hibernation period comes growth and perspective.
Look at nature as it’s taking a pause from all that is life
and although it may look stagnant or even hopeless,
at just the right time,
the snow melts away,
revealing vibrant, fresh, loving life.
