Find me in Summer,
Where the days were shorter,
Nights were longer,
And smiles came easier.
Find me in Summer,
Where the sun was warmer,
Boys were hotter,
And drinks were stronger.
Find me in Summer,
When you miss the warmth,
You miss the house,
And you miss the lake.
Find me in Summer,
When you forget the sailboat,
You forget our friends,
And you no longer remember who I am.
I'll find you in Winter,
Where the air is as your heart is,
The drinks are as cold as your soul,
And I can see the warmth of that Summer leaving your eyes forever.
