"When I'm older"
The typical three words that have come from every single mouth
The words signifying the need to be better than who you already are
Enunciating the dreams that you wish could be yours
"When I'm older"
Ringed with hope, and layered with longing
Lined with unfulfilled jealousy at everything that you haven't achieved
An excuse used to build a life full of failure
"When I'm older"
Each second is a moment lost
Every minute an accomplishment that could have happened
Yesterday was tomorrow, and today will soon be the past
"When I'm older"
Time will not put itself on hold, and he clock will not halt ticking
Life will not give you a break, and it will not stop going on
Stop living for tomorrow and start living in the moment
"When I'm older"
Don't wait for good to come around
There are those who will stare at the stars their whole life through
Be the person to reach up and grab one with both hands
You are older NOW

Realizing that we are giving up and wasting so much of our lives by procrastination encouraged me to write this and to hopefully inspire to follow their dreams and to believe that they can be achieved.
