It's one of those nights
I ache to feel your arms snaked around me
To feel your breath against my cheek
I ache to hear your sleepy voice whisper into my ear
To hear the words you try to string together
Before the sandman pulls you back to him
I ache to touch your face with my careful fingertips
To touch my voice, my reason, my love in human form
I ache to see your eyes flutter awake
To see the concern in your eyes
When you feel my body pull away, if only for a moment
I ache for you
Yes
I absolutely ache for you
