Sudden tingles crawl down my spine like spiders.
The haze
Racing hearts meet gasps for air
Fingers entwined in locks of hair
And words whispered in the dark of night.
Faster faster
The dagger in my heart.
Stabbed into the cold, dead, unforgiving corpse of what i was. Of what i am.
A girl.
A broken heart doesn't fill the hole of one untouched.
But a heart untouched never experienced it.
Love.
What you whispered in the dark.
Fogged windows under starry sky's said i love you. But didn't mean it.
Came and went like the fog. Blinded by your mystery. Aching to taste the forbidden fruit.
Luscious and warm, caressing my soul with soft hands and gentle words.
I craved it. Like a drug, you became the dealer. Taking from me whatever i had to get a fix.
Now im empty.
The haze
Indescribable. Cold shivers in the dark of an empty bed.
And you still call to me.
Light knocks on tight locked doors.
Not keeping you out, but keeping me in.
Fast forward. 3 months. 6 days. 4 hours.
The haze
It empowers. Me. Me.
The one who said im fine, but screamed on the inside.
She saw. Saw the pain pushed aside to help the one by her side who needed her. No time for her. For them. And pain.
Knocking knocking on my door in the night.
The haze
Now just tingles when i hear your name.
