Fading
If anyone knew,
She wouldn't even care.
If he doesn't why should, she?
It was all just a game,
A ploy,
He played with her heart.
All the while his smile was just coy.
As she runs and runs and runs,
Her legs ache.
She would stop,
But not until her skin will bake.
She wants to go,
And she won't be stopped.
Not this time,
Not next time,
Not ever.
What she doesn't know
Is that a new someone is looking for her.
Not 'him',
But the boy that sat quietly,
He watched her each day,
Little did she know.
He wanted to meet her,
Keep her safe,
And love her.
It's hard not to fall when everything just goes wrong.
She was slowly disappearing,
Being taken up.
She was ever so slowly
.......F.......A.......D.......I.......N.......G.......
He won't know,
He can't know,
And she doesn't want him to know.
She's in a better place,
Alone,
And still ever so slowly...
Fading.
