Her Heart

Tears left glistening streams trickling down her cheeks
Her eyes were a fountain of pain
Her skin held not a bruise
But her heart told a different story
A scar slashed through the middle
With rumors whispering out
Small knives hung out it's back
With broken promises etched in the blade
Splinters of lies stuck deep inside
They could be taken out
but that would never stop her pain
Cracks of long lost love grew and ran rouge
On the outside were simple glistening streams of tears
But her heart was a whole new perspective
