Broken

We are lost souls, suspended in time,
we are manufactured
of shattered hopes and dreams,
we are no longer able to function,
we are the ghosts of broken machines.
We linger about
hidden by the shadows of a higher power,
our voices are eternally unheard,
we’ve been buried so deep,
that we are left to suffer,
drowning in agony,
dying from the inside out.
We are silenced by the world around us,
and the deafening silence,
it means nothing to no one, but me.
