She screams out her agonized voice
She gouges, scratches, scrapes her face with talons
People call her crazy, a banshee, possessed

She feels that way,
Cornered in her own mind by those
Atrocities, with
Black eyes and leering bodies

She remembers when everything was 'okay'
And her mother loved her

She remembers what it was like to smile
And not have to hurt herself to hurt those evils

She remembers when people didn't shy
Away in disgust

She also remembers when they first came in the
Night, raping her mind
Pillaging her soul for their liking

She can clearly see the crass way the demons
Spoke to her
Bound her as she struggled

She can still feel their greasy claws
Reaming her body

But...

She trusted them.
That's the worst part.
