Favorite Quote:
"Until I feared I would lose it, I never loved to read. One does not love breathing." -Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird

Bright white
Slipping silently
Through window shades
I lift my gathered sheets
And wake.
My feet draw lines
That drag behind
My sluggish
Trudging
Toes.
Limping
Sprinting
Skipping
Practically wandering
Through hours that
Seem to float by like
Paper sailboats.
Surreal
It seems;
An eternal daze.
Midday breaks
Eyes glazed
I make motions
Yet remain
In the same state.
Little lights
Above ablaze
Clutching crumpled sheets
Stark
Still I stay
Until bright light
Creeps through
My window shades.

It seems that people get up, go about their day, and then go back to sleep at the end of the day as if it was a cycle.
