World of forced smiles

A crack o light
trying with all my might
to shine through
the darkness, please do
breaths flickering
a thousand light mimicking
a feeling of total
tender and immortal
Reaching from the water
like the sun but hotter
for a rope
a single strand of hope
in a world
trampled stomped hurled
reflections in a thousand mirrors
throwing me back into my fears
